Mini Grilled Cheese
August 25th, 2008I believe this is the first time I have been writing about food on my blog so you know it must be good. It was a little rainy here in Seattle today so I decided to hunker down with a grilled cheese sandwich. However instead of just making your typical grilled cheese I decided to make mini one’s, which was the best decision I made all day. Needless to say they were delicious. Here’s the quick and dirty. Ingredients after the jump.
1. Pick up a baguette or a mini French Loaf, I bought mine at Whole Paycheck…I mean Whole Foods.
2. Cut the baguette a little thinner than a regular loaf, butter and cook up just like your grilling a regular one.
3. I made 4 little one’s, 2 with cheddar and 2 with swiss, I don’t dig on the American chez on my GC’s.
4. I put toothpicks in them which makes it easier to flip. Just flip them over and push the toothpick through the other side.
5. Add a soup or salad, I had a salad, to make a complete meal
Oh and the playing card is there to give folks the sense of the size of the bread and ingredients.
Enjoy
